Weekly Announcements

1/20/21 -

Good evening, this is Mr. Rice, assistant principal of Reidsville High, an IB World School, calling with our weekly announcements.

Tomorrow, we will return to our blended learning schedule.  Those students assigned to return to school for face-to-face learning will begin classes at 8:25am.  Virtual students will begin at 8:45am.  You can find your new schedule in CANVAS.

If you have submitted your attestation form to return for face-to-face instruction, you should have received a message with your child’s assigned days (Monday/Tuesday OR Thursday/Friday).  We also have asked teachers to email their students with their assigned days as well.  If you have not received a separate call, your child will continue with virtual instruction.  Tomorrow is the final day to submit attestation forms.  Remember that Wednesdays will continue to be a virtual learning day for everyone.

Temperatures will be taken upon your arrival to school.  Please ensure your child has their mask and has charged their Chromebook.  Breakfast and lunch will be served to students in their classrooms.  We are unable to receive any outside deliveries for students.

Students who ride a bus to school should be at their stop 10 minutes prior to pick up time.   If a student is not certain of their bus number, they should ride the bus that makes the stop.  Buses have a 22 passenger limit so drivers may not transport more on any trip.  Buses will make a second trip if necessary to pick up students.  All students must wear a mask in order to ride the bus.

We look forward to working with everyone as we start off the second semester. As always, thank you for supporting teaching and learning at Reidsville High School.

1/10/21

Good evening, this is Mrs. Mitchell, principal of Reidsville High, an IB World School, calling with our weekly announcements.

Students requiring transportation to school to take an exam should be at their bus stop each morning.  Students may not be riding their regular bus as routes have been adjusted to accommodate the testing schedule.  If a bus stops, the students should ride.  Only high school students are being transported next week to take exams.  Students should not report to school unless they are scheduled to take an exam.  Students will not be permitted to remain on campus if they are not scheduled to take an exam.  Breakfast and lunch will be provided to all students who are taking exams. There is no cost for breakfast or lunch.

Teachers have notified your student if they are scheduled to take an EOC or CTE exam. Please make sure your student is wearing a mask tomorrow if they have testing.

Please remind your student to CHARGE AND BRING their school-issued Chromebook on exam days. Only those who have not gotten a school-issued Chromebook will be provided one. Also, chargers will not be available because we only have a few left.

There will be a list posted in the main commons that will tell you which classroom your exam is being administered in just in case you can not remember where to go.

Only students who are testing will be allowed to attend next week, if you student shows up and doesn’t have an exam, they will have to return home.

Students should be at school by 8:20 am each day. The school will operate on a two-hour early release schedule, which means school will release at 1:30.

Please remember that no Smart Watches or fitbits are allowed during testing. Cell phones must be turned off during testing or left at home.

Due to the weather day this past Friday, we have extended the deadline for the Virtual MOU forms to tomorrow (January 11th) at 4:00 PM.  Again, this form is required ONLY if your child attended face to face learning in the fall and wishes to continue with virtual learning.  Attestation forms for students to participate in f-2-f learning are still being collected at the main office.

As always, thanks for supporting the Rams.
